Manila, Philippines, 1 May 2025 – Frederick August Jose has achieved a significant milestone by earning the Intellectual Property Valuation Certification (IPVC), making him one of only three lawyers in the Philippines to receive this prestigious qualification. Frederick was part of the first batch of candidates in the country, and only second worldwide, to complete this rigorous training program.

The IPVC Training was a collaborative initiative between the Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LES Philippines) and Paris-based Association for Management and Valuation of Intangibles (AMAVI) and marked the first private sector-led effort to standardize IP valuation practices in the Philippines with internationally accepted benchmarks, especially designed for a new wave of intellectual property professionals.

The training was led by a distinguished team of internationally recognized IPV experts and practitioners from various fields and industries. Among them was Dr. Andre Gorius, a renowned IP valuation expert known for his work with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The certification program equipped professionals with essential tools and methodologies for the practice and process of IP valuation. This included training for the valuation of IP such as trademarks, brands, patent portfolios, copyrights, goodwill, licenses, software, and other types of intangible assets.

Frederick's new qualification in this field underscores his dedication and commitment to his work, while also enriching our Intellectual Property, Data, and Technology practice group’s commercial offerings to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of knowledge and solutions for their business challenges.
