The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Department Order No. 248-A, series of 2025—formally titled the "Supplemental Guidelines clarifying and amending provisions of DOLE Department Order No. 248, series of 2025"—officially took effect on 28 August 2025. These Supplemental Guidelines provide further clarification and procedural guidance on the issuance of Alien Employment Permits (AEP), aiming to streamline compliance and address ambiguities in the original order. As mandated, the guidelines were to take effect 15 days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation, which occurred on 12 August 2025.
